Four miles outside Wrexham, at the end of a beech-lined drive lies a Grade II-listed Victorian pile built in French Renaissance style. You enter through an archway, then up in a lift to the attic where five bedrooms lie, then back downstairs to the Great Hall, oak-panelled from top to toe, a suit of armour in one corner and a vast open-tread glass, metal and rope staircase in the other. Bedrooms spread themselves out from large mezzanine suites to snug attic retreats. A few are internal, others have views, all are sleek and contemporary. Dark wooden beds, cream carpets and fabulous bathrooms are the order of the day. Wynnstay Hall occupies a prominent position from which visitors can explore three great counties; Shropshire, Cheshire and mid/north Wales. The historic city of Chester is less than twenty minutes by car or ten minutes on the train. Llangollen - renowned as a world famous tourist stop, attracting thousands of visitors to its classic Eisteddfod every year lies approximately 5 miles distant. Shrewsbury, with its cosmopolitan air is great for shopping and like Chester, has a wide variety of bars, clubs and top class restaurants. Then there are a couple of large open sitting areas - one around a huge fireplace with gas-effect fire, another a bank of leather sofas by the bar – a full-size pool table, grand piano and a cinema, whose seats overlook the stairwell. Beautiful views of the gardens and the mountains are visible from the open plan seating area. The kitchen sports a vast range and meals are dispatched to a long table that lies beneath a glittering chandelier. City escapees will love it - and there’s heaps to keep everyone happy, there are endless activities available within a 30-minute drive including white water rafting, go karting, paintballing, golf, fishing, horse riding as well as numerous beautiful walks amidst some of the most stunning countryside this area has to offer or within the beautiful landscaped gardens.
